GRREC Networks are structured professional communities that meet throughout the year—either in person or virtually. Each network is facilitated by GRREC staff and shaped by its members, creating a space for real-time problem solving, resource sharing, and continuous learning.

Our Networks
Our networks bring together educators and leaders from across the region to collaborate, solve challenges, and stay ahead of evolving needs. Explore our current networks to find the right community for your role or area of focus.
This network will provide Alternative School leaders the opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills and remain abreast of the information related to alternative school settings while working collectively through issues and concerns that may arise. The network will provide an opportunity for collaboration and supports for the alternative school setting.
Assistant Principals in the GRREC region meet at GRREC periodically and have the opportunity to review and learn about the latest forecast for education in Kentucky. During these 3-hour meetings, participants hear the latest education-related information that is pertinent to their position. They also have the opportunity to engage in round-table discussions about issues that keep principals feeling stuck or that can become barriers which seem difficult to overcome. These Principal Network Meetings will be an opportunity for all building level administrators to come together in groups (Elementary, Middle, and High School) and network with one another about similar issues or concerns.
This network will: - Provide regional means for dispensing and sharing information about assistive technology (AT) and augmentative alternative communication (AAC)
- Build capacity within GRREC region so that its representatives will be leaders in their schools and districts
- Disseminate best practices in developing systems in communication for students with various disabilities
- Provide trainings on state-of-the-art practices and programs in AT and AAC
- Keep districts abreast of materials, equipment and devices housed in the GRREC lending library
- Assist districts in comparing various solutions of AT and AAC so they can make appropriate purchasing decisions
This network will:
Build capacity with the GRREC region in the area of autism
Define a communication conduit for disseminating current information and evidence-based practices related to autism within the districts
Bring high caliber training to the region in a cost-effective manner
Establish a group of leaders within the region that can support districts in the provision of services to autistic youth
This network is facilitated by Region 2's KETS Regional Engineer, Bruce Lindsey; Bruce serves as the liaison for school districts and the Kentucky Office of Technology; he brings updates from Frankfort as well as topics affecting all districts to each meeting.
The GRREC College & Career Readiness Network strives to help CCR Coaches, high school counselors, and career/CTE teachers with the needed resources to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to succeed in higher education and the workforce. This network connects educators, industry professionals, and community/state partners to provide guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for students to explore academic and career pathways. The key components of the network include college preparations, career exploration, skill development, and more. The goal is to provide resources to help students transition smoothly from high school to college, trade schools, or the workforce, setting them on a path to lifelong success. Each meeting will have network time to collaborate and learn from others in your position.
The GRREC Counselor Connection Network aspires to provide opportunities for school counselors and mental health counselors to network with others within our region. Counselors will build relationships, share knowledge, and connect with other counselors, thus helping develop their program. During each network session, updates will be shared, including any legislative updates on mental health, trauma-informed, and SE as well as 504 updates or answering any questions you are having, and crisis/grief response strategies. Counselors will also have time to network with similar grade levels or other mental health counselors.
The Green River Regional Educational Cooperative is proud to offer a Crisis Response Team as a service to our districts. This team has been in place for over twenty years and has been asked to respond to countless crisis situations throughout our regional and across the state. The GRREC Crisis Response Team is comprised of over 45 individuals from across the region who have been trained in School Crisis Response, utilizing both the PREPaRE model and SAFE-R model. In the event your district experiences a crisis (death or serious injury of a student, faculty/staff, or a community based crisis), we want you to feel confident to reach out, knowing you will find needed support during the most difficult times and situations.
The GRREC Crisis Response Team will provide:
Support in coordinating the most appropriate response to your need based on best-practices.
Trained and experienced Crisis Response Team Members to facilitate and support responses.
Assistance with the supervision and psychological first-aid needs of students and staff involved in the crisis.
Overall support in dealing with the aftermath of the incident.
Partnering district will:
Allow potential GRREC Crisis Response team members from their district to participate in team trainings and updates, approximately two per year.
Allow GRREC Crisis Response team members from their district to respond to incidents when they are called, unless circumstances within the district prohibit the person from leaving his/her duties at that time.
Be responsible for issuing public statements and following individual district crisis response plans and board policy.
The GRREC Deeper Learning Network aspires to support innovative leadership to increase collaborative innovation across districts, elevating teaching and learning practices that lead to equitable and engaging student experiences.
This network will allow Directors of Pupil Personnel a time to network with one another about concerns and other topics.
This network will:
Provide information and resources to support a high-quality education for students with disabilities
Provide information regarding special education laws and regulations
Provide an opportunity for networking, collaboration, and resource-sharing among directors of special education
This network is to discuss hot topic items, problem solve, and work through on-the-job issues; a survey is sent out prior to each meeting and participants set the agenda and choose the speakers; this is a true "networking" opportunity where districts have an opportunity to collaborate and develop a community of trust and support to accomplish the work before them.
This network for educators to increase their knowledge and skills working with a diverse group of students with different language, academic, and social-emotional needs.
GRREC’s Family Resource Youth Services Center (FRYSC) Network aims to foster a vibrant, collaborative experience that empowers FRYSC coordinators and partners with professional learning, shared resources, and colleague connection—ultimately enhancing the well-being and success of students and families. Through meaningful dialogue and collective problem-solving, we are committed to building a supportive network rooted in innovation, equity, and continuous improvement. While the format of network sessions may vary, our shared goal remains the same: to create collaborative spaces that strengthen systems of support for children, youth, and their communities.
The GRREC Finance Directors Network provides the finance directors of the Cooperative’s member districts the opportunity to network, share ideas and concerns, and collaboratively solve problems they encounter in the performance of their duties.
This network is to discuss hot topic items, problem solve, and work through on-the-job issues related to food services.
This network is for school and district staff responsible for GT programming and services, including GT Coordinators and GT Resource Teachers; to discuss current issues in GT education, updates to state and federal regulations, and share resources and experiences; unique partnership between GRREC & WKU's The Center for Gifted Studies - is open to GT Coordinators from across the state and includes a KY GT Network website.

This network will provide an opportunity for library media specialists to network, share resources and explore new technology and literacy applications alongside faculty from WKU's Library Media Education department and consultants from KET Education and KY Dept. of Ed.
The GRREC MSD (Moderate to Severe Disabilities) Cadre aspires to support new (0-5 year) teachers who serve students with low-incidence disabilities through a combination of professional learning and coaching opportunities. This yearly closed cohort of teachers from the GRREC SERTAC area will gain knowledge around high-leverage and evidence-based practices to support their learners.
The Mega Math Network is dedicated to fostering a community where educators can connect, share innovative teaching strategies, and explore the latest trends in mathematics education. Our mission is to inspire collaboration, provide valuable insights, and enhance classroom practices for math teachers at all stages of their careers. Together, we strive to elevate the teaching and learning of mathematics.
This network will provide participants with a platform for meaningful discussion around concepts related to coordinating effective middle school athletic activities and programs. Network meetings will be conducted through three virtual sessions (using Zoom) throughout the 2021-2022 school year. Each meeting will feature a lead speaker and include time for facilitated discussion. Participants will be given the time to brainstorm ideas with role-alike peers.
Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is a proactive and data-driven framework designed to provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to all students. It integrates Response to Intervention (RTI) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) into a comprehensive system that ensures every student receives the level of support they need to succeed.
The new teacher network focuses on teachers professionalism, classroom management, and meeting diverse student needs.
Principals in the GRREC region meet at GRREC periodically and have the opportunity to review and learn about the latest forecast for education in Kentucky. During these 3-hour meetings, participants hear the latest education-related information that is pertinent to their position. They also have the opportunity to engage in round-table discussions about issues that keep principals feeling stuck or that can become barriers which seem difficult to overcome. These Principal Network Meetings will be an opportunity for all building level administrators to come together in groups (Elementary, Middle, and High School) and network with one another about similar issues or concerns.
This network provides a regional forum for information sharing and action around transition needs and services; the team consists of a network of the region's school districts, post-secondary institutions, state agencies, community agencies, and community members who are involved in or provide transition services; network opportunities for colleagues involved in transition.
This network will:
Disseminate best practice information and intervention practices to school psychologists to increase the quality of services to students within the GRREC school districts
Provide a network among professional colleagues in the field of school psychology
The GRREC School Safety and Facilities Network aspires to cultivate a safe and secure environment within schools by fostering collaboration, implementing proactive safety measures, and providing swift response protocols. Through continuous improvement and community engagement, we will strive to protect the well-being of students, educators, and staff. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Network at GRREC provides a collaborative space for school-based SLPs to connect, share expertise, and support one another. The network fosters collaborative problem-solving, facilitates meaningful and relevant discussions, and offers evidence-based professional learning. Through regular meetings and ongoing communication, members will be empowered to enhance their impact and better serve students with communication needs.
The Structured Behavior Network (SBN) is a specialized support platform designed to empower educators in effectively managing and supporting students with Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities (EBD). The network offers a range of tools, resources, and strategies that help educators create structured, positive, and responsive learning environments. By fostering proactive behavior management and individualized student support, SBN aims to enhance the educational experience of students facing behavioral challenges.
The GRREC Transportation Network aspires to ensure that all students have safe, reliable, and equitable access to educational opportunities. By focusing on this goal statement, the GRREC transportation network aims to enhance the overall educational experience and support the academic success of every student.
