Amy Carter is a mental health service provider, currently serving as a Project ACCESS professional in the GRREC region. With a career spanning over twenty-five years in the field, she has made significant contributions to the Bowling Green community.

She began as a Family Resource Center Coordinator for Bowling Green Independent Schools and Warren County Schools, where she dedicated two decades to this role.

Amy holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Western Kentucky University and a Master's degree in Social Work from Campbellsville University. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in therapy, she possesses a wealth of expertise in the field.

Amy's commitment to nurturing the next generation of social workers and therapists is evident through her dedication to providing supervision and guidance to newcomers in the profession. Beyond her impactful work in the community, she also runs her private practice at Wilson Counseling LLC, where she positively influences the lives of her clients.

Acknowledged for her outstanding leadership qualities, Amy was honored with a nomination for the prestigious Angela Lane Community Award for Outstanding Leadership at WKU in 2022. She is actively involved in various professional affiliations, including membership in the National Association of Social Workers and the School Social Work Association. Amy also contributes her time and expertise to the Growing Up Safe Committee of the Commonwealth Attorney's office.

Her passion lies in ensuring every child's educational success, and she takes pride in finding and implementing solutions that foster appreciation and achievement for all students. Her approach involves working collaboratively with the entire family unit to provide comprehensive treatment and support.
