Crabtree
Gina Crabtree serves as a Special Education Consultant-Behavior at GRREC. Gina's educational background includes a Rank 1 in School Counseling, a Master's degree in School Counseling, and a Bachelor's degree in Exceptional Childhood Education, focusing on Learning and Behavior Disorders.
Gina is an active member of the Kentucky School Counseling Association, where she served as Past President, and the American School Counseling Association. She was named the Kentucky School Counselor of the Year in 2015 and a semi-finalist for the 2016 National School Counselor of the Year. Additionally, she received the Pamela Gabbard Emerging Leader Award. Gina also contributes to the field through her blog, "Mrs. Crabtree's Counseling Corner."
Reflecting on her career, Gina recalls feeling lost as a new special education teacher and counselor and credits her mentors for helping her find her voice. Inspired by their support, she has made it her mission to offer the same level of guidance to new teachers and counselors. Through statewide presentations, professional service, and her writing, Gina is dedicated to supporting and mentoring others.
