Amy Hill is a K-12 Literacy Specialist with EPIC. She brings over two decades of experience in literacy education, instructional leadership, and professional learning. Throughout her career, Amy has supported educators through coaching, curriculum development, collaborative planning, and research-based instructional practices. Her expertise includes writing instruction, Science of Reading practices, assessment literacy, and the implementation of high-quality instructional resources (HQIR). She has also contributed to the development and review of Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) items through her work with Pearson and the University of Kentucky.

Amy earned a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education with certifications in English Communications and Social Studies and a Master of Science in Library Media Science and Educational Technology from Western Kentucky University. She also earned a Rank 1 in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification from Indiana Wesleyan University. During her time in Ohio, she partnered with Battelle, Code.org, and the Ohio Department of Education to advance K-12 computer science education through standards development, model curriculum creation, educator cohorts, and national facilitator training.

Amy is passionate about equipping educators with practical, research-based strategies that strengthen literacy instruction and improve student outcomes. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband, family, and five grandchildren.
