Daniel Scott Howard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University. He also completed Rank I certification in Educational Administration and earned Kentucky Superintendent Certification, both from Western Kentucky University.

Mr. Howard’s educational career includes service as a 4th/5th-grade math teacher at Lewisburg Elementary School and a 4th/5th-grade social studies teacher at Morgantown Elementary School. He later served as Elementary Principal at Fourth District Elementary School and as Middle School Principal at Butler County Middle School. He went on to serve as Superintendent of Butler County Public Schools for twelve years, retiring from the superintendency in 2020.

Following his retirement, Mr. Howard has continued his work in education as Project Director for School Safety with the Green River Regional Education Cooperative. He also serves as a Network Liaison for all networks under Operations and works closely with the Kentucky Association of Educational Purchasing Agents (KYAEPA), enabling partner districts to utilize cooperative purchasing to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

In his free time, Scott enjoys playing golf and reading.
