Brad Stevenson joined the Green River Regional Educational Cooperative (GRREC) as the STAAR Grant School Safety Coordinator in 2021. In this capacity, he leads professional development initiatives and conducts comprehensive K-12 school safety risk assessments throughout the academic year. Brad is a retired veteran of the Kentucky State Police, where he served as both a Trooper and a Detective.

His distinguished career included high-level VIP security assignments for the Kentucky Derby and the World Equestrian Games, as well as executive protection details for the Governor of Kentucky and the President of the United States. Following his retirement from law enforcement in 2014, Brad transitioned into the education sector, serving in middle and high schools as a coach and athletic director. His expertise is backed by advanced training from the U.S. Secret Service, the KSP Executive Security Section, and the Department of Homeland Security.

Brad holds a Bachelor’s degree from Bethel University and a Master of Science from Murray State University. Outside of his professional life, Brad is an avid sports fan and enjoys curating antiques and home decor for fellow treasure hunters.
